Eastbound SR 60 ramp to Southbound I-275 closed this weekend

Tampa, Florida-- The eastbound State Road 60 (southbound Memorial Highway) ramp to southbound I-275 (onto the Howard Frankland Bridge towards St. Petersburg) will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, August 4 and 5.

FDOT informed us of the following detour: Continue under I-275, turn right onto Kennedy Boulevard (at the traffic signal by Westshore Plaza) and continue to the end and use the Kennedy Boulevard ramp to southbound I-275.

Travelers are suggested to plan accordingly and leave plenty of travel time!

Hillsborouh County, Florida-- The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) plans to unveil a new pedestrian awareness campaign on Monday, July 30. 

This four-week pilot campaign will kick off in Hillsborough and Miami-Dade counties, all  with the goal of increasing public awareness regarding pedestrian safety, said FDOT in a release about the campaign.

Tampa, Florida-- As of 3:30 this afternoon, both directions of South Willow Avenue are closed between W Platt and Azeele Streets while theTampa Water Department crews repair a broken water main.

Repairs, accordint to the Water Department, are expected to be completed by late tonight.

Normal traffic patterns are expected to resume by 3:30 p.m. on Monday, July 30, following road restoration, depending on weather conditions.

Barricades and signs are located in the area to assist with traffic flow, and the department suggests drivers to seek alternate routes.

Tampa, Florida-- The Florida Department of Transportation has announced that the right lane of southbound I-275 will be closed near Westshore blvd. (exit 40A)

It will close at 11 p.m. tonight and should reopen tomorrow morning after 5 a.m.

Today, tomorrow, and then again on next Friday and Saturday, HCSO DIII will conduct "Operation Trident", a three pronged traffic initiative which targets habitual traffic offenders, aggressive drivers and Impaired drivers.
