620 WDAE The Sports Animal kicks off new morning show

Tampa, Florida-- Clear Channel and 620 WDAE announced today that Tom Jones and Rick Stroud will host the new morning show, beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, May 22.

Clear Channel released the following information this afternoon:

Jones and Stroud will provide full Tampa Bay sports coverage weekday mornings from 6 - 9 a.m.

Annual Run for Shelter this Friday in Ybor

Tampa, FL -- The 15th annual Run for Shelter will be this Friday, April 20 in Ybor City.

The 5K race begins at 7 p.m. at Centennial Park.

The run benefits several children's charities including Alpha House, The Children's Home, Joshua House, Judeo Christian Health Clinic and Tampa Bay Academy of Hope.

Tampa Bay Sentinels host the Dallas Defenders

Tampa, Florida-- This Saturday, April 14, come out and support your local law enforcement, firefighters and military members as the Tampa Bay Sentinels take on the Dallas Defenders in the Public Safety Bowl.

The Tampa Bay Sentinels are ranked number one in the Southeast Region, and the Dallas Defenders are ranked number three.

The game takes place at Jefferson High School, 4401 W. Cypress St Tampa, FL 33607 at 1:00 p.m.

Tickets are $5 in advance, $10 at the gate.

Kids under 5 & people with disabilities are free!

Run honoring murdered UT student this Saturday

Tampa, Florida -- This saturday, April 7, a running event in honor of a University of Tampa student murdered in 2009 will take place.

The 2nd annual Ryan's Run in memory of Ryan McCall will start at 7:30 a.m. at Ybor Centennial Park.

McCall was a cross country and track runner at UT before he was killed.

Organizers say proceeds from Saturday's event go to support scholarships for area high school students with a passion for running.

State wildlife officials have designated Saturday, April 7 as a license-free fishing day.
