Canoe and Kayak At County Parks

Hillsborough Co., FL-- It's time to get outside and get paddling, whether you're an adventure-seeker or a low-key nature-lover looking for a peaceful float through Hillsborough County’s waterways. Four-hour canoe/kayak rentals are offered at $25 at several Hillsborough County Regional Parks. A park entry fee will also apply at $2 per vehicle carrying up to eight people, and $1 each additional person. Only cash, check and traveler’s check payments are accepted at this time.

Fit2Run to host Tampa Glow Run & Party Wednesday

Tampa, FL-- This coming Wednesday, Fit2Run out of International Plaza will host a Glow Run and after party in honor of National Running Safety Month.

If you're interested in participating, be sure to wear your brightest glowing gear! You could win a $50 Fit2Run gift card for having the "Best Glowing Costume"- and the fun doesn't stop there. Organizers will provide free beer and food, plus 15% off any night-time running item- all to be enjoyed during the social gathering set to take place after the run.

Bike Bash coming to Downtown this weekend

Tampa, Florida -- There is perfect opportunity to get some exercise, be outdoors and meet Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn tomorrow in Downtown Tampa.

The Annual Bicycle Bash will take place from from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, November 4 at Contanchobee Ft. Brooke Park in Downtown Tampa.

After a group stretch starting at 10:30, the Mayor's bicycle ride will begin. Then, at noon, there will be awards, followed by a kids bike ride along the Riverwalk at 2 p.m.

The Melting Pot Golf Classic to benefit St. Jude

Tampa, FL-- Attention golfers! Time to grab the clubs for a cause! The Melting Pot's Golf Classic has a goal of donating $100,000 to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and they need your help!

The 27-hole tournament is set to take place on Monday, November 5 at the Emerald Greens Golf Resort & Country Club.
