Hillsborough County, Florida - Families in Hillsborough County can get a taste of camping close to home on Saturday, March 23.

Lake Park will host the Great American Camp-Out on Saturday, March 23 through Sunday, March 24.

Organizers say campers can look forward to spending the night under the county's stars after learning to set up a tent, and more!

Apollo Beach senior citizen trip to see manatees

Apollo Beach, Florida -- Hillsborough County is offering a variety of programs for seniors with the of keeping them active, healthy, social and engaged in their community.

As a part of this initiative, the Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department is holding a monthly field trip for seniors.

February's field trip takes place on Wednesday, February 20 at the Manatee viewing Center in Apollo Beach.

Tampa, FL-- Here's motivation to stick to your New Year's resolution-FREE yoga classes will be offered every Sunday from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park until Sunday March 10.

Canoe rentals available Hillsborough parks

Carrollwood, Florida - Residents in Hillsborough County may not know that canoe rentals are available in many county parks.

Four-hour rentals are offered at $25. Park entry fees will also apply at $2 per vehicle carrying up to eight people, and $1 each additional person. Only cash, check and traveler's check payments are accepted at this time.

Alderman's Ford Regional Park, 9625 Canoe Launch Loop in Lithia, is the seventh Hillsborough County Park to offer canoe and kayak rentals.

Hillsborough Co., FL-- It's time to get outside and get paddling, whether you're an adventure-seeker or a low-key nature-lover looking for a peaceful float through Hillsborough County’s waterways. Four-hour canoe/kayak rentals are offered at $25 at several Hillsborough County Regional Parks.
