Aging Services to offer Alcohol Awareness Month presentations

Hillsborough County, Florida-- In honor of April as Alcohol Awareness Month, Hillsborough County’s Aging Services Division is hosting health presentations at its Nutrition and Senior Centers. All presentations are open to Hillsborough County residents ages 50 and over. For more information on particular events, contact the centers listed below.

Popular Cupcake Spot closes storefront

Tampa, Florida-- The Cupcake Spot is known for its award-winning cupcake including the "Better Than" cream cheese frosted, chocolate chip vanilla cupcake.

But the business no longer has its South Tampa storefront location at 3225 South MacDill Avenue, just a few doors down from Pane Rustica.

The owner says the business is focusing on pre-orders and catering in the South Tampa area.

The Rainbow Mart across from the Samba Room in South Tampa has agreed to sell Cupcake Spot cupcakes on a pre-order basis.

Expanded Wi-Fi in Downtown Tampa

Tampa, Florida -- There's great news for people who want to do work in Downtown Tampa.

The City is in the process of adding Wi-Fi to several municipal buildings downtown, and even to multiple parks including Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, the Tampa Riverwalk, and Lykes Gaslight Square Park.

The first part of the iniative, adding the Wi-Fi to the buildings, has been completed. Spots now offering Wi-Fi are as follows:
