Elections Office delivers almost 3,000 ballots to overseas voters

 

Tampa, FL - Earl Lennard, the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections, announced the delivery of 2,622 military and overseas Vote By Mail Ballots to the post office on Friday.

Military and overseas voters can request a Vote By Mail Ballot by mail, fax or e-mail.

The Supervisor of Elections office says the easiest way to request a Vote By Mail Ballot is to log on to www.VoteHillsborough.org, and click on the Vote By Mail tab at the top.

Hillsborough County, Florida-- The Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections tweeted a notice that new voter registration cards are on the way to all registered voters.

"Plz RT: You've got mail! We 're sending new voter info cards to all Hillsborough Co registered voters. Mailing to take approx. 1 wk."

Tampa, Florida--The President and CEO of the 2012 Host Committee for the RNC, Ken Jones, will be the Keynote speaker of the Tampa Bay Partnership's  26th Annual meeting and luncheon.  

Jones along with Host Committee executive board member Kathleen Shanahan will give insights about the Republican Party Nomination Process and the after affects that Tampa could experience by hosting this year's GOP national convention.

Tampa, Florida - Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn will be the featured speaker at the Downtown Partnership's 26th annual meeting and luncheon.

The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday June 19 at the Tampa Convention Center 333 S. Franklin Street in Downtown Tampa.

The Partnership says the meeting allows it an opportunity to share and celebrate its accomplishments and induct the new leadership. 

According to the Partnership, the meeting will provide thoughtful discussion, exciting downtown updates and their vision for the upcoming year.

100 Day Countdown Picnic for the RNC May 19

Tampa, Florida-- The Greater Brandon, Alafia and Plant City Republican Clubs invite you to attend the 100 Day Countdown Picnic for the National Convention.

The event takes place on May 19 from 11 a..m. - 3 p.m. at Edward Medard Park in Plant City. 

Aside from having the opportunity to meet the candidates, free BBQ and door prizes will be available to attendees, and raffles and a straw poll fund-raiser will take place as well.

Attendees should bring $2 for the park entry fee, a lawn chair and a dessert to contribute to the event!

Mayor makes major changes to Tampa government

Tampa, Fla. -- There is a major reorganization government in downtown Tampa. Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn says it will save taxpayers $425,000.

According to a news release from the Mayor's office:

Bob McDonaugh has been named the Administrator for Economic Opportunity. The new Administrator for Economic Opportunity will focus on attracting new businesses to Tampa, help grow entrepreneurship, and grow and retain our existing businesses.
