Bucs take Safety Mark Barron at #7 | News
Tampa, FL-- The Bucs selected Alabama safety Mark Barron with the 7th overall pick in the first round.
Barron is 6'1", 213 pounds and considered the top safety in the Draft. But he was projected to go to Dallas at #14.
Barron was first-team All-America, and the quarterback of the Alabama defense.
The Bucs acquired the #7 pick in the first round, by trading down with Jacksonville, and picking up a 4th round draft pick.
