Tampa, Florida - High profile Tampa attorney, Barry Cohen, shared his insight into the second-degree murder charge handed down Wednesday on George Zimmerman. 

The special prosecutor handling the case brought the charges against the neighborhood watch volunteer for shooting and killing 17-year old Trayvon Martin.

Cohen said he's not surprised by the charge, but it doesn't necessarily mean that prosecutors have all the evidence to back it up.

"This prosecutor may be saying, you know, why should I take the heat. Let me file the charge. That way I did my job, and if a judge throws it out, it's not my fault," said Cohen.

A judge can still throw the case out, if they find the "Stand Your Ground Law" does actually apply.  But Cohen doesn't think that'll happen, because of all the publicity over Trayvon's death. 

That's also the reason he feels, if the case moves forward, it may be hard to find fair and impartial jurors.

"You may say, well I can be fair and I'm not worried. But in the back of your mind, you're thinking, man, no way in hell am I going to find this guy innocent and have to worry about these black panthers coming after me," said Cohen.

Zimmerman's new attorney also spoke during a news conference, about his concerns regarding a fair trial in Seminole County.

"We wouldn't today, I don't think. The emotions are just running high in all of Central Florida, but we'll see as we get closer to the point where we're resolving it. We don't even know if we're going to have a trial," said Mark O'Mara.

That second-degree murder charge does come with no bond attached to it. Zimmerman's attorney is hoping bond will be granted when he's scheduled for his first appearance. He's also hoping Zimmerman will be allowed to leave the area, out of concern for his safety.
