National Signing Day 2013

Tampa Bay, Florida -- Feb. 6, 2013, is National Signing day and there were all sorts of notable signings in the Bay area today.

Expanded Wi-Fi in Downtown Tampa

Tampa, Florida -- There's great news for people who want to do work in Downtown Tampa.

The City is in the process of adding Wi-Fi to several municipal buildings downtown, and even to multiple parks including Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, the Tampa Riverwalk, and Lykes Gaslight Square Park.

The first part of the iniative, adding the Wi-Fi to the buildings, has been completed. Spots now offering Wi-Fi are as follows:

Robert Weiner has change of heart, will stay at Plant HS

Tampa, FL-- Less than 48 hours after accepting the offer of Wide Receivers coach at USF, Robert Weiner changed his mind and decided to stay at Plant HS.

"If you asked 100 high school coaches, probably 100 would say, if they were offered the same position I was offered, they would run with it," Weiner told an afternoon news conference at the Plant HS Fieldhouse.  "With the chance of advancement, and maybe with the dream of being a college head coach one day.  Although it was intrigueing to me, it's never been my dream... I'm not wired that way."

Dream season ends for Robinson, 24-20, to Godby

TAMPA, Florida -- Robinson's amazing dream season ends one game shy of a coveted state championship appearance.   For the third time in the past four years, the Knights fall in the a state semi-final game, this time to Tallahassee Godby, 24-20.

With a 17-7 halftime lead, Robinson (12-2) was feeling confident. But in the third quarter, Godby (13-1) got their running game in gear, with Khalid Thomas delivering several big runs, including a powerful 19-yard touchdown blast that cut the Knight's lead to 17-14.

Robinson's Offensive Line Players of the Week

Tampa, FL - Robinson High School's Connor Rafferty, Bruce Hector, Chris Duvall, Ted Kelly and Brooks Lovely are the Southern Ford Dealers Players of the Week.

The Knight's entire starting offensive line, all seniors, played a huge role in helping Robinson run to a 49-21 victory over previously unbeaten Pasco.
