Beach advisories lifted

Tampa, Florida-- The Hillsborough County Health Department lifted the advisory originally issued on June 26 for Davis Island beach, Simmons Park beach, Cypress Point beach, (North, and South).

They announced that follow-up testing produced satisfactory results based on the marine water bacterial indicator results as recommended by the EPA.

Testing for Ben T. Davis Beach, (North, and South) produced unsatisfactory results, so the advisory will continue.

The Health Department says the advisory will lifted when re-sampling indicates the water is within the satisfactory range.
