Mail carriers collect food for Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive!

Carrollwood, Florida - Mail carriers will take part in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Residents can leave non-perishable food item by their mailbox and the letter carrier will pick it up. The food will be donated to food banks to distribute to needy citizens.

Last year, over 70-million pounds of food was donated across the country.

If you cannot leave food items by your mailbox, you can drop it by your local post office.

National Senior Health & Fitness Day and Open House

Tampa, Florida-- The National Senior Health and Fitness Day and Open House is coming up at the end of this month! It is set to take place on Wednesday, May 29, from 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

Hillsborough County Aging Services will host an open house on National Senior Health and Fitness Day at several of its Centers. Each of the following centers will offer a variety of exercises and activities:

Insurance Committee meets Tuesday May 14

Tampa, Florida --If you work for Hillsborough County and are concerned about your insurance options, you might want to be at the County Insurance Committee meeting.

The Committee meets at 9 next Tuesday May 14 on the 26th Floor of County Center in Conference Room B.

County Center is located at 601 East Kennedy Blvd. in Downtown Tampa.

Tampa, Florida -- The Florida Aquarium, in partnership with the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (C.A.R.D.) USF, is hosting a Day of Discovery event.

This event is an opportunity for those families with sensory disabilities like Autism, to experience the Aquarium in a way that is just for them between the hours of 8:00 a.m and 9:30 a.m on Saturday, May 3.

Tampa Yankees Pink Out Night Saturday, May 4

The Tampa Yankees and The Container Store will team up in the fight against Breast Cancer as they host "Pink Out Night" on Saturday, May 4th, at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Gates open at 5:00pm, and the Tampa Yankees will take on the Clearwater Threshers at 6:00pm. There will be pre-game activities for all fans and a post game fireworks show sponsored by Bright House Networks.

Tampa, Florida-- South Howard Avenue will absolutely be a hit this weekend as the women of High Heels in High Hopes host a charity cocktail stroll and scavenger hunt to benefit the Children's Cancer Center of Tampa Bay.

On Friday, pub crawlers will not only take advantage of drink specials at some of SoHo's most select spots, but they'll also have a chance to win great prizes while mingling and making a difference.
