Sen. Nelson meets with future Military Academy students | Events

At a reception today, U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson will host some of the nation’s future heroes, the select few Florida high school graduates chosen to attend one of America’s military academies.  The reception honoring the students will be held in the Davis Conference Center at MacDill Air Force Base.

The application process for appointments to the U.S. Military Academy, U.S. Naval Academy, U.S. Air Force Academy and U.S. Merchant Marine Academy is highly competitive.  Candidates must be nominated by their congressional representative, one of their U.S. senators, the vice president or president.
