Tampa, FL -- Join Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa for a Community Information Open House Meeting on Monday, Aug. 22, to discuss the upcoming temporary closure of the Platt Street Bridge. The Open House will start at 6 p.m.
At the Open House, citizens will be able to hear a briefing and visit information stations to find alternate commuting options and to provide comment.
The Bridge closure is scheduled to start in October 2011 and is scheduled to last 105 days. The closure is necessary as part of the required rehabilitation of the bridge to allow the contractor to open the drawbridge and perform replacement work on its components.
The full project is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2012.
