26th Annual International Coastal Cleanup volunteers needed

Hillsborough County, FL -- Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful is still looking for volunteers of all ages to join a world wide effort on Sept. 17 to remove trash along coastlines, rivers, lakes and throughout Tampa Bay during the 26th annual International Coastal Cleanup, the largest volunteer effort for ocean health.

Participants will spend a few hours removing trash and debris from the water and coastlines, all the while keeping track of every piece of trash they find.

The Ocean Conservancy uses the data to produce the world’s only annual country-by-country, state-by-state index of the problem of marine debris. The report is shared with the public, industry, and government officials as we work together to pioneer innovative solutions to this global pollution problem.
