Tampa, Fla. -- What do you know about the princess and the pea? A princess tries to woo a prince, but his picky mother insists she be able to feel a pea under a pile of mattresses to prove she’s a real princess, right?

Well, there’s more to it than that. Come see the Patel Conservatory’s Youth Theater production of Once Upon a Mattress April 12-14, 19-21 in the TECO Theater at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts to get all the details.

East Lake-Orient Park, Fla. – Rise to the occasion on Feb. 23 or March 1 when Hard Rock’s Rising Global Battle of the Bands takes over! Nine local bands will compete in one of three qualifying rounds from 9 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

The one band from each qualifying round will move on to the final round on March 8. The winner will receive $500 cash, $500 HRC gift certificate, and a deluxe RN account.

If your band is ready to rock the Hard Rock stage, you must be registered with Reverb Nation (RN) to compete.
