Crime down in Hillsborough County

Hillsborough County, Florida -- The Hillsborough County Sheriff's office has released that crime in Hillsborough County is down 53.2% since 2007.

For the sixth straight year, deputies have reduced overall crime in Hillsborough County. With a population in unincorporated Hillsborough County of more than 800,000 residents, the number of victims of crimes was also reduced from 21,617 in 2011 to 20,072 in 2012. This violent crime rate is the lowest since recording started in 1985.

Gas station robberies plague 2 counties

Pasco County, Florida -- Pasco County Sheriff's deputies are investigating two armed robberies Wednesday morning.

Authorities say the first robbery occurred at the 7-Eleven in the 23000 block of SR 54 in Land O' Lakes. Around 2 a.m., two black men with hoodies and masks reportedly threatened a clerk and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

Man wanted in two Chase Bank robberies

Tampa, Florida -- Tampa Police is asking for the public's help identifying the man suspected in the robberies of two Chase Banks.

In both instances, detectives say the man entered the banks and handed the teller a demand note. He would then lift his shirt and reveal the handle of a gun in his waistband.

Reward offered for help in pizza deliveryman shooting

Tampa, Florida -- Delivery drivers still come and go from a downtown Tampa Domino's Pizza, but you've got to think they're shaken by Sunday's shooting. And while no one at the Tampa Street store would talk to 10 News, the franchise is now offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to arrests.

Police are still looking for the two men who robbed and shot a deliveryman in the stomach outside the Vintage Loft Apartments. Daniel Pawelkop, 29, had finished dropping off the pizza when the men confronted him. They took his wallet and cell phone and then shot him in the stomach.

Pizza delivery man shot during robbery

Tampa, Florida -- A Domino's Pizza delivery man was rushed to the hospital Sunday after he was shot during a robbery at an apartment complex near the University of Tampa.

Tampa Police say after the unidentified delivery man delivered a pizza to an apartment in the Vintage Loft Apartments, he was approached by two black men in the parking lot. He was robbed and shot once.

He was taken to Tampa General Hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Detectives are investigating any leads now.

Online, underage sex operation nets 14 arrests

Plant City, Florida-- Police arrested 14 people in Plant City last week as a part of a three-day, undercover sting in which suspects arranged to have sex with minors.

According to reports, Plant City Police teamed up with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and prosecutors from the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office to conduct ;"Operation Last Minute".
