Beer thieves caught after getaway truck gets stuck | Crime
Tampa, Florida -- Two men were arrested Wednesday after they stole almost 30 cans of beer from a Tampa distributing company.
The sheriff's office says Timothy Becker and Edward Carpenter, Jr. crawled under the fence of J.J. Taylor Distributing Company on 16th Avenue S and stole $80 worth of Crispin Natural Hard Apple Cider from the warehouse dock. They fled but were caught after Carpenter's truck became stuck on nearby railroad tracks.
Carpenter, 20, and Becker, 47, face petit theft, burglary and trespassing charges. Carpenter is also being charged with Grand Theft.
