Detectives searching for violent robbery suspects | Crime

Tampa, FL - Tampa Police Detectives are searching for suspects linked to a violent robbery on May 13th, 2012 near S. Renellie Dr and W. Iowa Ave. 

As the victim was walking eastbound on Iowa Avenue, the suspects approached him and one of the suspects asked him for a dollar. As he replied, three of the suspects began to hit him in the face and upper body causing him to fall to the ground.

Once on the ground, all four Suspects hit and kicked the victim. They went through the victim's pockets and took his cell phone and wallet. They fled south on Renellie Drive. The victim eventually got up and was able to knock on a neighbor's door and call police. The victim sustained facial injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He is still hospitalized at this time.
