Pinellas County, Florida -- Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies and Keep Pinellas Beautiful will assist in a clean-up project at a wooded area in the Highpoint area and they need some volunteers to help. 

The woods are frequently littered and various items of trash have been left behind. Monthly trash clean-ups involving residents from Safe Harbor have been initiated but a larger scale clean-up is needed.

Carrollwood, Florida - Mail carriers will take part in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Residents can leave non-perishable food item by their mailbox and the letter carrier will pick it up. The food will be donated to food banks to distribute to needy citizens.

Last year, over 70-million pounds of food was donated across the country.

If you cannot leave food items by your mailbox, you can drop it by your local post office.

The Tampa Yankees and The Container Store will team up in the fight against Breast Cancer as they host "Pink Out Night" on Saturday, May 4th, at George M. Steinbrenner Field. Gates open at 5:00pm, and the Tampa Yankees will take on the Clearwater Threshers at 6:00pm. There will be pre-game activities for all fans and a post game fireworks show sponsored by Bright House Networks.
