This past year, I have recently encountered a young woman by the name of Alicia Henry who is a successful business owner in the Bay area.  She has a mobile business named, Jazzy Jewels, that not only does mobile makeovers for adults, including the bridal industry, but also princess parties for your little diva.

I recently sat down with her to gain more insight on how she has been able to remain so successful. Her business is only a little over 2 years old and she has already achieved so many accomplishments.

How she got her start:

Alicia used to manage a kids spa and loved the idea of pampering little girls.  She has two sons of her own which, working there, helped fulfill her need of doing girly things.  Her pampering and makeovers didn’t just end at her job, she would also do makeovers for her cousins.  She decided to take her love for it and turn it into a business venture.  Instead of working for a company where she was limited to just kids or adults, she decided to start a business where she could do both.

Princess parties:

One thing she prides herself on with her princess parties, is that she tries to make each party unique.  She also works with any budget so that everyone wins.  If you have ever seen pictures of any of her events they always look like a blast!  You can tell she pays attention to detail and tries to exceed her clients expectations. I’m not going to lie, looking at the pics from her events, I want a princess party for myself!

Bridal Hair and Makeup:

If you’re getting married, she has a team of hair and makeup artists that can give that star treatment on such an important day.

Some of her accomplishments include: being featured in the Tampa Sentinnel, winning the Bridal Choice Awards for Best Hair & Makeup, and being chosen as one of the makeup artists for the Taylor Swift concert. It doesn’t hurt that she’s gorgeous and one of the nicest people you will ever meet!

This much success in two years, I can’t imagine where she will be when she hits her 5-year mark!

As you can see she is dominating her industry and she is definitely an inspiration to other entrepreneurs, especially women! Her advice to other business owners: “Don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t. If you have a vision reach for the stars and never give up.”
