Grow Financial implements smoke-free campus | Business

Tampa, Florida -- As of July 1, all Grow Financial locations became tobacco and smoke-free environments at the corporate office and across the 18 branches in the Tampa Bay area.

This announcement was first made in October of 2011 with the hope that current tobacco users would take advantage of these past months and work toward eliminating use of tobacco products.

"We’re a service company, and the simple fact is, healthy employees are more likely to be happy employees which strongly contributes to the positive experience we strive to deliver for our members,” Bob Fisher, President and CEO of Grow Financial said in a release.

In an effort to reward employees who live a healthy lifestyle, Grow Financial has a Healthy Pledge insurance credit which gives employees a credit of $20 per pay period if they attest to not using tobacco products including cigarettes, cigars and smokeless tobacco in the last 6 months. 

In addition, Grow Financial regularly conducts Health Fairs, seminars on good nutrition, and holds an annual Fitness Challenge where employees form teams in a weight-loss competition.
