Public hearing over controversial TECO power poles Thursday | Business
Tampa, FL -- A controversial plan to install 75-to-115-foot tall concrete power poles along Adamo Drive will be discussed during a public meeting with TECO on Thursday June 14.
Ybor City Development Corporation member David Scott tells 10 News he fears the poles will stifle future development on the south side of the Latin Quarter.
Scott says TECO plans to install the poles on the north side of Adamo between around 13th Street all the way to 19th Street.
The meeting, which will be held at the Italian Club in Ybor City, is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. and run until 7 p.m.
TECO says the poles are going up because some power lines are being moved from the south side of the Crosstown to the proposed location.
