Title (Max 100 Characters)
Tampa, Florida-- The weather’s still hot, but all students know summer is passing much too swiftly. With that in mind, Patel Conservatory students are creating a Short Film Festival with the theme, A Tribute to Summer.
Held Friday, August 10 at 7 p.m. in the TECO Theater at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, A Tribute to Summer will include an eclectic mix of short films devised by students from the Conservatory’s Making a Short Film camps. A couple of the film titles are Lucky Penny and Quack Attack.
In addition, the “Vlog Squad” (team of interns and apprentices) will show highlights of their video documentary, Summer 2012 at Patel.
Tickets are $5 and may be purchased by calling 813.229.STAR (7827) or 800.955.1045 outside Tampa Bay, in person at the Straz Center Ticket Office or online at www.strazcenter.org.
The Patel Conservatory offers camps for children and classes for children and adults of all experience levels in all kinds of dance, music and theater. More information about the Patel Conservatory is available by calling 813.222.1002 and by visiting www.patelconservatory.org.
