South Tampa caterer shows you how to score big with your Super Bowl party!

Are you having friends and family over to watch the Super Bowl this Sunday? Score big with these simple Super Bowl party planning tips.

Linda Caivano-Baldwin has used some of these ideas for years, including when her company served hundreds of meals during the NFL Experience at Raymond James Stadium when the Super Bowl was held in Tampa in 2009. They’re easy to do, and they look great!

  1. Create a Goal Post to go over your buffet table by using hollowed-out bamboo. You can purchase it from the garden section of Home Depot, Lowe’s, and other stores.
  2. Round up your kids’ sports equipment and use them as table decorations.
  3. Purchase foam footballs and cover them with white carnations, with a few carnations spray-painted with floral paint to create the laces. You can buy the footballs and the floral paint at most Michael’s and Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.
  4. Fill a garden tub with ice and add beer, wine and bottled water. Just remember to attach a bottle opener to one of the handles with butcher string, so it doesn’t get lost!
  5. Fill a garden tub or bucket with mini bottled waters, juice boxes and more drinks for the kids.

And of course, make sure to incorporate the colors of your favorite team! The Pittsburgh Steelers are black, gold and white while the Green Bay Packers are green and gold. And since the game is being played at Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, you can always incorporate a western theme into your cooking, catering and decorations.

E-mail Linda at Linda@eventsbyamore.com for recipes for dry-rubbed wings Texas-style or her favorite cheese fondue, which would make a wonderful accompaniment for a Green Bay Packers party. Plus, consider doing a BBQ Pittsburgh style and fire up the grill for some Black and Blue burgers or Pittsburg rare steaks.

All of these recipes are also on Linda's blog: www.eventsbyamoreupdates.blogspot.com. To see Super Bowl party pictures and get more ideas, please visit www.eventsbyamore.com.

The game kicks off at 6:25 p.m. on Sunday. Enjoy!
