Bayshore Boulevard is one of the greatest gifts left to us by the people in Tampa's past. And we owe it all to two men who turned down a fortune to make that road happen.

Why do they call it Bayshore Boulevard?

Are you looking to get out of the house with your little one? Join us for the YMCA Mothers of Preschoolers of South Tampa or MOPS meetings.

WHEN: 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month (until May).

During the SUMMER months, we do not have "meetings."

Lifesaving courses offered at local Red Cross

The American Red Cross Tampa Bay Chapter has released the schedule for upcoming health and safety classes that will take place in February and March in Pinellas, Pasco, and Hillsborough counties.

The Red Cross offers a wide variety of training courses in first aid, CPR, AED, lifeguarding, swimming, babysitting, caregiving, and other areas for both individuals and organizations. The Red Cross is the most trusted training provider of health and safety training that meets OSHA guidelines and many other professional and regulatory standards.

Free yoga in Hyde Park

Tampa, FL -- Luxury sportwear company, Lululemon, is offering free yoga classes before the Farmer's Market once a month.

The hour-long yoga class will take place on the first Sunday of every month at 9 a.m. by the fountain in Hyde Park Village in South Tampa.

Lululemon will be opening a sportswear store in Hyde Park Village the first part of March. The store also plans to organize a running club.

Behind the scenes at Gasparilla 2012

TAMPA, Fla. -- Hours before spectators squeeze in along the parade route at Gasparilla, members of Ye Krewe of Italia are tucked inside a garage.

In fact, they've been there nearly every day for the last month, building columns and ensuring their float fully embodies the Krewe's theme of Ancient Rome.

Tampa Police: No major incidents at Gasparilla 2012

TAMPA, Fla. -- The 2012 Gasparilla Parade has wrapped up with no major incidents, according to the Tampa Police Department.

TPD says there were only 2 adult felony arrests and 23 adult misdemeanor arrests during the event. Two arrests were made for underage drinking (18 years old and under), while 25 arrests were made for adult underage drinking (19-20 years old).
