Hillsborough Co. Republican Party launches new website

Hillsborough County, Fla. -- The Hillsborough County Republican Party has announced the launch of a newly designed website, HCRP.org, devoted to news, information and upcoming events pertaining to the local Republican Party and the Republican National Convention.

Visitors can find local general information about the Hillsborough County Republican Party, information on how to get involved, upcoming events, a list of local officials and resources to get in contact with them.

Tampa, Fla. -- Take your baby or toddler to Jan Platt Regional Library in South Tampa to learn how yoga can help them become more flexible, take deep breathes and learn to relax.

The new children's yoga class is offered on Friday mornings from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Pizza War heating up in South Tampa

Tampa, Florida -- If you enjoy good slice of pizza, you may have heard South Tampa is rapidly becoming a doughy destination.

That's good news for foodies, but it's also left some long-standing restaurants concerned about getting their share of the pie.

Apparently marinara mavens have decided you can't have too much pizza in South Tampa. Within a mile of Plant High School, there are now more than a dozen pizza purveyors, with a new contender -- Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza -- soon to join the mozzarella masses.

Tampa, Fla. -- The Straz Performing Arts Center and National Geographic are teaming up to present the photography of Frans Lanting who is being called one of the most accomplished wildlife photographers of our time.

The event, National Geographic Live! Life: the Unfolding Story with Frans Lanting, photographer takes place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 at the David A Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 NWC Macinnes Place in downtown Tampa.
